Meet the Price Family

Glaiza and Patrick have two daughters (ages 8 and 3) and just welcomed a baby boy, born in March 2025. As parents themselves, they understand how important trust, transparency, and consistency are when it comes to childcare. Their personal philosophy is simple:“The children come first. Always.”

They are constantly working to improve—not just to meet licensing standards, but to exceed them. Bright Haven is more than a center—it’s a reflection of the care they would want for their own children, and a commitment to serving families with heart, integrity, and professionalism.

Glaiza Price is the Owner and Director of Bright Haven Child Care Center.

She brings years of hands-on experience in early childhood education and previously operated a successful in-home childcare program for over three years before opening Bright Haven. Glaiza is deeply involved in the daily life of the center and believes that children thrive best in environments built on consistency, warmth, and clear routines.

Her approach is rooted in play-based learning, emotional regulation, and strong relationships between teachers, children, and families. Glaiza works closely with staff to ensure classrooms are calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, while also maintaining high standards for health, safety, and licensing compliance.

As Director, she values open communication with families and believes that trust, transparency, and collaboration are essential to supporting each child’s growth and well-being.

Patrick Price is the Co-Owner of Bright Haven Child Care Center and leads operations, systems, and facility planning.

With a professional background as a maritime chief engineer, Patrick brings a strong focus on safety, structure, and systems-based thinking to the center. He oversees licensing coordination, compliance with Washington State regulations, facility improvements, technology, and internal procedures that support smooth daily operations.

Patrick’s role is largely behind the scenes, ensuring that staff have the tools, environments, and processes they need to focus fully on caring for children. His goal is to build a calm, well-organized foundation that allows the teaching team to do their best work while giving families confidence in the center’s professionalism and reliability.

What inspired the start of Bright Haven Child Care?

Bright Haven Child Care was inspired by a deep commitment to family, community, and early childhood development. Glaiza had previously run a successful in-home daycare called Lily Pad Childcare for three years, where she provided nurturing, high-quality care during children’s formative years. After pausing to start their own family, both Glaiza and Patrick realized how much they missed supporting other families and being part of young children’s growth.

Their vision for Bright Haven grew from that experience and a desire to create something lasting—something that reflected their values not just as caregivers, but as parents and people. They wanted to offer more than just care; they aimed to build a center that was organized, welcoming, and purposeful. With Glaiza’s hands-on experience and Patrick’s background in engineering and operations, they brought together warmth and structure to create a space that feels like an extension of home. Bright Haven is the next chapter in a journey they’ve always felt called to pursue.

What kind of culture do you foster with staff and families?

We believe in treating every staff member as an individual—with unique strengths and talents. Our goal is to support and empower them so they can do their best work with the children. We’re always looking for ways to improve our systems and make their jobs easier, clearer, and more rewarding.

With families, we focus on clear communication, mutual respect, and creating a deep sense of security. We want parents to feel confident and at peace knowing their child comes first—always.

What are you goals for the future of the center?

Right now, we’re focused on refining our operations to make sure Bright Haven is consistent, fair, and truly supportive of the children in our care. Once the time feels right—and if the need is there—we hope to expand into a larger facility. We want to take everything we’ve learned from both Bright Haven and Lily Pad Childcare and scale it responsibly, without losing the warmth and quality that make our center special. Our ultimate goal is to provide the highest level of care to children while giving their families true peace of mind—so they can focus on providing for their loved ones, knowing their kids are safe, happy, and thriving.
